I want to transfer my script text from a PC or Mac to the device (iOS or Android) I will be using as a source of text for my Teleprompter. How can I do it?
Answer from TeleprompterPAD
There are mainly 2 methods to transfer or load your script text onto the TeleprompterPAD app:
Copy-paste method
-
- Copy the text of the script from your text editor on your PC/mac and paste the text on an email.
Note: You could also paste it to a text file in the cloud or even to any other app that allows you to send text messages that you can access from your mobile device: Email, Whatsapp, Telegram, Facebook Mesenger, Instagram and so on.
- Send that email to an email account that is accessible from the device you intend on using as a teleprompter (or open the text message, or access the file in your cloud...).
- Select and copy the text from the source app (email, messaging, cloud...).
- The pencil icon in the top menu enables and disables the text EDIT MODE, so you can then paste the text from your clipboard directly on the teleprompter app screen.
- Copy the text of the script from your text editor on your PC/mac and paste the text on an email.
Open text file method
-
- You can choose to save the script to PDF, DOCX, ODT or TXT format and send it as an attached file by email (or upload the file to your cloud).
Note: If you don't know how to convert your script to other supported file formats, please read this short guide: How to convert any text script into any supported text format compatible with Teleprompter PAD app
- Then from the TeleprompterPAD app you can open the text file (folder icon in the top menu) that has been saved on the local disk from your device or open it directly from your cloud.
- You can choose to save the script to PDF, DOCX, ODT or TXT format and send it as an attached file by email (or upload the file to your cloud).
